Dear Valeriya Ilyinichna, I'd like to begin by telling you that, I enjoy your livejournal immensely. Although, every comment you make about the present day Russia leaves somewhat "DOOM and GLOOM" impression on me. It's like this country can't get a break: first Tzars with their autocracy, then Lenin and his gang, Stalin, Khruschev, Brezhnev...Now these two "reformers "with their view of "CommieKGBistic" democracy for Russia. What is it with Russia and Russians that they can't get away from autoritarian system of governing?... Well, anyway, V.I., knowing that you were born in Baranovichi, Belarus, I would love to hear your thoughts on Pr.Lukashenko's policies, especially since he's "Europe's last dictator" but, lately all of a sudden EU decided that he is "OK", lifted the ban on his travels, he even visited with the Pope. Which country in your opinion is worse off: Medvedev/Putin's Russia or Lukashenko's Belarus? Thank you.
